AR Capital is the trustee and investment manager of the Ascot Fund. The Ascot Fund is an Australian equity long short fund that was established in August 2005 by principals Craig Connelly and Tony Cooper.

As the Investment Manager, AR Capital will invest in long and short equity market a broad range of securities and their derivatives with the aim of providing positive returns over the medium term. AR Capital will manage the Fund by merging the disciplines of professional trading and fundamental company analysis.

Fundamentally based investments will generally dictate a core stock position, wither long or short. Trading models will be primarily used as a mechanism for:

• Entering or exiting core holdings;
• Determining weighting allocation;
• Specifying stop loss levels; and
• Adopting trading positions.

Capital preservation and remaining within acceptable risk parameters are important criteria for the Fund.
