Investment Managers - GVI.

Global Value Investors (GVI) is a specialist boutique international investment manager. GVI was established by Treasury Group Limited and Investors Mutual Limited in 2004.

GVI uses a value approach in investment selection whereby international companies compete with each other for inclusion in the portfolio. This is based on investment fundamentals rather than market capitalisation or the weighting on global investment indices. The result GVI seeks to achieve is a well diversified portfolio based on the strongest balance sheets, which have lower price earnings ratios and higher dividend yields than a portfolio based on a global index.

The GVI investment portfolio is substantially hedged into Australian dollars through forward currency contracts. GVI invests in the companies themselves and wants the portfolio to reflect the effect of these investments, over time.

Roy Chen is the Head of Investment for GVI and has over 20 years experience in equities investment. Roy is supported by four very experienced senior analysts; Matthew Saddington, Daniel Fitzgerald, Matthew Hegarty and Stephen Arnold.
